The ACM Interactive Health Conference (IH) is a premium venue for advancing research at the intersection of Human–Computer Interaction and Health. The conference addresses a broad range of topics, including: the study of health practices; the development of methods for engaging users and creating human-centered health technologies; or the design, evaluation, and implementation of health technologies to support health and well-being. By bringing together researchers, designers, practitioners, healthcare professionals, and patients, the conference highlights emerging challenges and opportunities across the social-technical ecosystems of health and well-being.
IH 2026 will be held in Porto, Portugal, in early July 2026 (tentatively). More details soon!
IH 2026 will not have a full paper submission track. Paper sessions at the conference will be mostly composed of papers accepted at the ACM HEALTH journal Special Issue on Human Centered Computing in Healthcare.
IH 2026 will also invite a series of submissions in the form of extended abstracts and non-archival short papers. These include:
Authors may re-use and re-submit content from their papers to other peer-reviewed venues (e.g., a full paper submission to a future conference or journal), since submissions are non-archival. Moreover, these submissions are not APC-eligible (i.e., they will not incur article processing charges).
All times are in Anywhere on Earth (AoE) time zone. When the deadline is day D, the last time to submit is when D ends AoE. Check your local time in AoE.
